Job summary

Novolex is seeking a Machine Operator - Sheeter in Baxter Springs, KS. The role involves producing and packing quality products on high-speed paper converting equipment, reading and completing daily paperwork, and performing set-ups and changeovers as needed.

You will join a safety-focused team and support maintenance activities while maintaining a clean work area. The position requires a willingness to work the 3rd shift 11:00pm–7:00am, Sunday through Thursday, with a starting pay rate of

• Six months minimum in a manufacturing setting, preferably with a high-speed process.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and accuracy in daily work.
• Willingness to work overtime and support shifts as needed.
• Ability to read and complete production paperwork accurately.
• Strong problem-solving skills and high energy level.

Responsibilities

• Operate high-speed paper converting equipment to produce and pack quality product.
• Read, understand, and accurately complete daily paperwork and POPs.
• Set up and change over machines with minimal supervision within allotted time.
• Assist Preventative Maintenance activities and keep work area clean.
• Follow safety programs and participate in team operations.
• Support colleagues and adjust to varying production needs.

Machine Operator - Sheeter

Overview

Produce product using high-speed paper converting equipment in compliance with Safety Programs and Quality Assurance Systems to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Produce & pack quality product at target machine speeds using safe work practices
• Read, understand, and correctly complete daily paperwork
• Read & understand Production Order Packet (POP); prepare all machine components for production
• Complete set-up and/or change over activities with minimal assistance in allotted time
• Participate in Preventative Maintenance Activities as assigned
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
• Complete assigned duties in compliance with company policies & procedures
• Actively engage in safety programs
• Assist other team members as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months experience in a manufacturing environment; preferably with a high-speed process
• Commitment to an accident-free and drug-free workplace
• Quality-conscious, oriented to excellence
• Strong work ethic evidenced by enthusiasm, positive attitude, and high energy level
• Well-developed problem-solving skills; creative, out-of-the-box thinker
