Oldcastle APG, a CRH company, is seeking a production operator to operate plant machinery and comply with safety and quality policies to produce a superior product.

You will read specifications, set stops, monitor for defects, perform routine maintenance, and help teammates meet deadlines while keeping work areas clean. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 3+ years of machine operation, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs with a flexible schedule.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent; or related experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience operating production machines.
• Basic understanding of electronics and programmable controllers.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• While performing duties, frequently stand on their feet for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work a flexible schedule.

Responsabilidades

Job Summary

Operate plant machinery as directed while adhering to all rules and regulations mandated by safety policies and procedures to produce a superior product.

Job Responsibilities

• Reads job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements
• Setstops or guides to specific lengths as indicated by scale, rule or templates
• Observes machine operation to detect product defects or machine malfunction
• Reviews product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearances assuring product meets quality requirements
• Performs routine machine maintenance
• Assists other operators to set up machines and any other necessary tasks to adhere to deadlines and completion of product
• Makes sure all housekeeping is maintained in a clear and orderly fashion in assigned areas

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; or at least one month of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• A minimum of 3 years of experience operating production machines
• Basic understanding of electronics and programmable controllers
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• While performing the duties of this job the employee will be required to frequently stand on their feet for extended periods of time
• Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
• Able to work a flexible schedule
