Job summary

Agropur Cooperative seeks a Whey Utility Operator in Hull, Iowa, supporting the whey department with knowledge of all equipment and coverage for operator absences. The role requires forklift certification and willingness to train on SAP, MES, and RF gun.

Starting wage is $25.92 per hour, with raises within the first year, a shift differential, and Sunday/holiday double time. Regular 6:00 PM–6:00 AM shifts follow a 2-2-3 rotation, with comprehensive health and retirement benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• No previous experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Minimum one year of related experience preferred.
• Forklift Certification required; on-the-job training/certification provided.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain knowledge of all whey plant equipment to assist with shortages.
• Operate every piece of equipment in use in the whey department.
• Cover operator absences and vacations as needed.
• Coach new employees on equipment operations and safety procedures.
• Assist operators with equipment questions or repairs and train others in SAP, MES, and RF gun.
• Ensure completion of Master Sanitation Schedule for whey department areas.
• Support major department projects, sock changes, and dryer CIP activities.
