Job summary

MANN+HUMMEL in Hanover Park, IL is seeking an entry-level to mid-level manufacturing operator to assist in setup, adjustment and operation of machinery to produce goods according to specifications. You will support acquiring operation plans, process bulk materials, perform cleaning and routine maintenance, monitor equipment, troubleshoot problems, and keep accurate records of machine performance.

Qualifications

• Assist in setup, adjustment, and operation of machinery to produce goods per specifications.
• Support acquisition of operation plans and processing of manufacturing batches.
• Perform cleaning, servicing and routine maintenance on machines.
• Monitor machines during operation and carry out repairs as needed.
• Identify machine problems and support process optimization for troubleshooting.
• Administer operational processes and keep records of machine performance.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the setup, adjustment and operation of machinery to produce goods or parts according to specifications
• Supporting the acquisition of operation plans and carrying out the processing of manufacturing batches of bulk materials/ingredients, including mechanical processing as required
• Performing cleaning, servicing and routine maintenance on machines to ensure they remain in good working order
• Supporting the monitoring of machines during operation to ensure they are functioning properly and carrying out repairs as needed
• Identifying problems (causes) that occur with machines and supporting the optimization of processes for troubleshooting
• Administering operational processes and keeping accurate records of machine performance
