Job summary

PADNOS is seeking a Manufacturing Machine Operator at our Grandville location to operate balers and support metals handling. You will work 4:00pm–2:30am, Monday–Friday, in a loud plant environment with PPE requirements (hard hat, safety glasses, high vis, steel-toed shoes, gloves).

The role involves loading/unloading, material grading, equipment monitoring, and paperwork. Prior six months of small equipment experience and teamwork mindset are helpful for success.

Qualifications

• Six months operating small equipment preferred.
• Equipment operation and preventative maintenance knowledge.
• Loader operator experience preferred.
• Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast pace environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Accuracy in operation and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and transport materials using hi-lo, loader or forklift.
• Grade and inspect materials according to company standards.
• Monitor equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions; notify management as needed.
• Maintain and protect company property in excellent condition.
• Prepare documents and reports related to materials handling.
• Perform basic mechanical checks and routine maintenance.
• Complete required paperwork for material movement.

Environment for Manufacturing Machine Operator:

This position is in our Wyoming location focused on metals. The manufacturing machine operator will be working with multiple balers to bale metals. It is often loud instead the plant due to machinery. PPE is required such as hard hat, safety glasses, high vis, steel toed shoes, and gloves when needed. This role is inside all day in a plant that is hard to regulate the temperature (it can be hot or cold depending on weather outside).

Manufacturing Machine Operator / Equipment Operator Position Summary:

The Manufacturing Machine Operatoroperatorisresponsible for safely operating equipment such as hi-lo, loader, forklift, sweeper and/or small loader to assist in loading, unloading, grading, inspecting, buying and transportation of materials.

Mechanical experience is a plus as the machines do break down and it is helpful to do what we can without calling maintenance.

• Distinguish between numerous grades and types of materials using basic identification tests according to company standards
• Perform required bore, during and after-operation user maintenance
• Monitor equipment, troubleshoot and/or notify management of any malfunctions that occur
• Maintain and protect all property entrusted to you in excellent condition
• Prepare various documents and reports
• Troubleshoot and mechanical diagnosis to identify repair needs such as motors, gearboxes, augers, pulleys, conveyors, and more.
• Prepare and complete required paperwork
