Job summary

A manufacturing company in Fort Mill, SC is seeking an Entry Level Machine Operator to ensure high-quality production and machine operation. The ideal candidate should have mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and be physically fit to perform job requirements. This is a full-time role requiring shift work (Thur-Sat, 7AM-7PM). On-the-job training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Prepare machinery for operation by ensuring all necessary materials are available and machines are calibrated according to specifications.
• Operate assigned machines to produce high-quality products, monitor production processes, and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal output.
• Conduct regular quality checks to ensure products meet established standards, identifying and addressing any deviations from specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure proper functioning and prevent breakdowns, reporting any malfunctions or abnormalities to the maintenance team.
• Assist with lacing the lines.
• Troubleshoot machine errors and faults, resolving issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
• Maintain accurate records of machine operations, production output, and quality control checks. Complete production logs and reports as required.
• Work closely with team members, including supervisors, technicians, and quality control personnel, to achieve production goals and address any challenges that may arise.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your team. Report any safety concerns promptly.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting and implementing process enhancements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Assist in training new machine operators and provide guidance to team members as needed.
• On the job training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Walking and standing for extended periods.
• Frequent lifting of up to 65 pounds.
• Frequent bending, squatting, stooping, and reaching.
• Repetitive arm and upper body action and movement.
• Exposure to dust, frequent loud noise, varying temperatures in the plant.

• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
