Job summary

MCC Label is seeking a Machine Operator in Elkton, KY to help maintain print quality and seam integrity. Experience is not required but a plus, with a rotating 2-2-3 schedule and live data entry in Globetek.

You’ll work on rolls, perform splices, and assist with basic labeling tasks while maintaining safety and quality standards. Training is provided; forklift duties may be required.

Qualifications

• Ability to add/subtract, multiply and divide for label counts and conversions using standard US units.
• Ability to use simple Windows-based applications.
• Physical demands include standing, lifting up to 50 pounds and frequent walking.

Responsibilities

• Continuously checks for print and seam quality.
• Removes defective material and splices the roll web per specifications.
• Uses ruler, safety knife, and punch during splicing; assists as needed.
• Handles rolls and palletizes to avoid damage.
• Understands basic printing and seam defects.
• Records data on paperwork and in Globetek.
• Participates in special projects and may operate forklift when required.

We are currently looking for a Machine Operator to join our team. Experience is not required but always a bonus.

Shift:

This role follows a 2‑2‑3 rotating schedule:

• Week 1: Work 2 days, off 2 days, work 3 days

• Week 2: Off 2 days, work 2 days, off 3 days

This two‑week cycle repeats continuously.

Responsibilities:

• Continuously checks for print and seam quality.
• Removes defective material and splices the roll web back together per the specification.
• Utilizes a ruler, safety knife, and hole punch during splicing procedure (tools are used at other times as necessary).
• Handles rolls and palletizes them accordingly as to not cause damage to them.
• Must understand basic printing and seam related defects.
• Recording and entering data on designated paperwork as well as in the company operation system (Globetek).
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
• Willing to learn and drive a forklift when needed.

Qualifications:

• Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide to figure label counts and conversions. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
• Ability to use simple Windows-based applications.
• The physical demands require standing, using hands to finger, feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear. This position requires frequent walking. Occasionally employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision requirements are close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
