Job description

Kilian Manufacturing has the largest line of DAVENPORT Machines in operation in the Onondaga County area! If you are looking for a safe company to work for that has a great culture, Join our team of experienced machinists and repair technicians!

Pay Range from $18.00/hr. to $28/hr., depending on level of experience.

Kilian has opportunities for experienced Davenport Operators and Davenport Repair Specialists to Operate a line of multiple spindle screw machines, checking for quality of parts.

- Responsible for maintaining production levels and quality standards.

- Remove, sharpen and reset tools as necessary.

- Load bar stock and pull chips as necessary.

- Maintain tool log sheets.

- Perform all SPC charting as required for a specific job or group of machines.

- Perform set-up operations as needed, making adjustments, completing repairs asnecessary and reporting problems to line coordinator.

- Perform basic maintenance.

- Ensure work area is maintained in a neat and orderly fashion.

- Follow preventative maintenance program.

- Wear personal protective equipment as required and follow all safety rules and regulations.

- Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

- Grind tooling

- Troubleshoot machine, tooling and part issues.

Qualifications:

- Set-up experience on all types of screw machines, preferred

- Previous Davenport experience operating and setting-up machines

- Good Basic math skills

- Ability to use micrometers and other measuring devices.

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

- Knowledge of mechanical gearing, cams, hydraulics and electrical systems.

Physical Requirements

- Lift up to 50 lbs.

- Stand for 4 + hours at a time.

- Ability to work from a ladder/stairs.
