Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking a Machine Operator I to join our Chandler, AZ facility. The role involves setting up and operating a production machine, feeding materials, and maintaining records in alignment with safety and quality standards.

The candidate should have at least 6 months of manufacturing or assembly experience, basic math skills, and the ability to work 18+ years old. Some positions may require training on equipment and adherence to established procedures.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Completes work area set up.
• Operates and feeds the machine in a safe and efficient manner according to procedures.
• Stacks completed products and labels/bands components as required.
• Maintains a clean, safe, organized work area and ensures equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection and reports problems.
• Maintains production records and checks materials/products for standards compliance.
• Participates in safety and quality programs and meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Machine Operator I is responsible for the set up and operation of a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Secures and maintains material and supplies required on the operation.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Completes work area set up.

• Operates and feeds the machine in a safe and efficient manner, and according to established procedures.

• Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures, and if required, may cover, label and band components/finished product.

• Ensures work area is safe, clean and organized, and that equipment is safe to operate.

• Completes pre-shift/startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns.

• Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.

• Maintains production records as required.

• Checks materials and finished products to ensure compliance with standards.

• Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.

• Participates in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED is preferred but not required.

• Minimum of 6 months of experience in manufacturing and/or assembling is required.

• Working knowledge of basic math preferred

• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
