Job summary

Global Power Components in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a reliable Machine Operator to support production of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers and modular enclosures. The role is on-site, temp-to-hire, with two shifts (5:00–13:30 and 16:00–00:30 CT) and overtime eligibility.

Ideal candidates will have manufacturing experience, be able to read blueprints, troubleshoot, and work well in a team. Computer literacy and a willingness to pass a pre-employment test are required as part of the hiring

Responsibilities

• Monitor the operation of the machine.
• Load programs from job folders.
• Load steel onto carts of machine.
• Change out lenses.
• Clean the machine and surrounding area.
• Maintain the machine.

1** st **** Shift:** 5am - 1:30pm CT (Monday to Friday) – eligible for OT

2** nd **** Shift:** 4pm – 12:30am CT (Monday to Friday) – eligible for OT

Overview:

Global Power Components is a privately held, growing manufacturer of UL steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures and modular metal enclosures for housing fully equipped electrical distribution and control equipment. Global Power Components is a privately held, financially sound, growing manufacturer of UL heavy gauge steel fuel tanks, trailers, large generator enclosures, and modular metal enclosures for housing fully-equipped electrical distribution and control equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor the operation of the machine
• Load programs from job folders
• Load steel on to carts of machine
• Change out lenses
• Cleaning of the machine and area surrounding the machine
• Maintenance of the machine

Requirements:

• Computer literate
• Manufacturing experience
• Able to read blueprints
• Able to troubleshoot and problem solve
• Must be highly motivated
• Able to communicate and work well with others
• Must pass competency test, and pre-employment physical including drug screen
