Job summary

National Strand Products in Baytown, TX, part of The Heico Companies, is looking for a machine operator to safely run wire machines and perform basic preventive maintenance. You’ll join a safety-conscious team focused on quality and punctual production schedules.

The role is on-site in Baytown with shifts offering extra pay for evening and night work, overtime, and comprehensive benefits. Training is provided for equipment and lifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Manufacturing experience (1+ year preferred).
• Ability to lift/push/pull heavy items.
• Basic computer skills + team attitude.

• Operate and set up wire machines.
• Join wire using electric butt-w welders (we'll train you).
• Use cranes and forklifts to move materials.
• Monitor quality and organise finished product.
• Keep your workspace safe and clean.

Job description

The ideal candidate is a team player, capable of maintaining regular and punctual attendance, and with a positive mindset. The Machine Operator will be responsible for safely operating sophisticated equipment and providing basic preventive maintenance to the machine assigned to them, be quality conscious, and adhere accurately to production schedules.
