Essential Functions
  • Operate specialty machinery to fabricate, manufacture, assemble or move products meeting all necessary specifications and quality control standards.
  • Maintain and monitor machinery to ensure proper function.
  • Perform multiple processes using a variety of equipment in a manufacturing setting, depending on department processes.
  • Produce a high-quality product delivered in a timely manner to satisfy customers.
  • Solving problems with assistance from team members and seeking continuous improvement.
  • Follow standard work methods and practice safe work habits to maximize efficiency and safety.
  • Learn additional functions through cross‑training in other departments.
  • Perform at least 75% of the department jobs at the required rate.
  • Read and understand routings/drawings to produce parts to quality expectations, calculate and derive dimensional information.
  • Completely follow standard work instructions, maintain a clean safe working environment, and participate in improvement activities.
  • Set up, load, and operate manufacturing equipment, and rotate through workstations as needed.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance and work overtime as required.
Qualifications

One of the following is required: High school diploma or equivalent (GED), or work experience demonstrating performance competency.

Experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment.

Experience with information system computer databases.

Skills and Abilities
  • Basic math skills (counting, adding, subtracting).
  • Advanced math skills for operating advanced systems or processes (e.g., GDT).
  • Ability to use required measuring tools (calipers, gauges, tape measure).
  • Cooperative teamwork skills.
  • Adaptability to a continuously changing environment and influence others.
Physical Demands

Stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms throughout the shift.

Regularly lift and move up to 10 lbs; frequently lift and move 25 lbs; occasionally lift and move up to 50 lbs.

Clear, peripheral, and depth vision; ability to adjust focus; hearing and speaking ability with or without correction.
