Job summary

Tucker Door & Trim is hiring a Machine Operator for our Production Team in Albany, GA. The role prepares door slabs for assembly and pre-hanging, operating pre-programmed machinery in door fabrication. This is a full-time, first-shift position with 7am to 4pm hours, Monday through Friday.

We offer health benefits, PTO, and 401(k). Candidates should have prior CNC manufacturing or door shop experience, basic computer and mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read work orders and use measurement

Qualifications

• Prior CNC manufacturing or door shop experience preferred.
• Basic computer and mechanical aptitude required.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and measurement tools.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stand, lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Operate pre-programmed CNC machinery used in door fabrication and assembly.
• Review work orders and verify materials, measurements, and machine settings.
• Monitor equipment for malfunctions and adjust as needed.
• Maintain production pace to meet daily goals while ensuring safety and quality.
• Conduct regular quality checks on doors to meet company standards.
• Perform basic maintenance, cleaning, and calibration on machinery.
• Communicate equipment issues promptly to supervisor/maintenance.
• Follow PPE safety protocols and safe material handling.
• Assist in training new operators or line employees as directed.
• Maintain accurate production logs and documentation.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a manufacturing CNC environment or door shop, mill shops or cabinet shop preferred.
• Basic computer and mechanical aptitude required.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, and measurement tools.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to stand, lift, and move materials throughout the shift (up to 75lbs).

Responsibilities

• Operate pre-programmed, computer-controlled machinery used in door fabrication and assembly.
• Review work orders and confirm materials, measurements, and machine settings match production requirements.
• Monitor equipment operation to detect malfunctions or irregularities and make adjustments as necessary.
• Maintain proper pace of the line to meet daily production goals without compromising quality or safety.
• Conduct regular quality checks to ensure doors meet company standards and specifications.
• Perform basic maintenance, cleaning, and calibration on machinery as assigned.
• Communicate equipment issues or downtime to the supervisor or maintenance team promptly.
• Follow all company safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and safe material handling.
• Assist in training new operators or line employees as directed.
• Maintain accurate production logs and documentation.
