Job summary

Beehive Industries is seeking a Machine Maintenance Technician at our Knoxville, Tennessee facility to support maintenance, repair, and reliability of CNC machining and AM production equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, assist with troubleshooting, and help with installations and uptime improvements.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude and foundational troubleshooting skills, with 0-2 years of manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • 0-2 years of industrial maintenance, mechanical, or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • 0-2 years of hands-on exposure to CNC machining or industrial equipment environments preferred.
  • Foundational ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions, procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with developing troubleshooting capability.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by following all procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and routine inspections on CNC machines and production support equipment.
  • Assist with intermediate troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems with limited supervision.
  • Support repairs, adjustments, and component replacements in collaboration with senior technicians.
  • Help with machine installations, equipment moves, leveling, and startup activities.
  • Complete daily, weekly, and scheduled maintenance tasks with growing independence.
  • Use maintenance ticketing systems to document work performed and update task status.
  • Communicate equipment issues and status updates to senior technicians and supervisors.
  • Use basic hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment safely and correctly.
  • Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives as directed.
  • Assist the maintenance team with general tasks to support production uptime.

The Machine Maintenance Technician works closely with manufacturing, engineering, and operations teams to support the maintenance, repair, and reliability of CNC machining andAMproduction equipment. This role performs preventative maintenance,assistswith troubleshooting equipment issues, and helpsmaintainfacility and production equipment to maximize uptime. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, foundational troubleshooting skills, and enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Education
  • High school diplomaor equivalent experience.
Experience
  • 0-2 years of industrial maintenance, mechanical, or manufacturing experience preferred

  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems and equipment operation
  • Foundational ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions, procedures, and safety requirements
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with developing troubleshooting capability
  • Good communicationand teamwork skills in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and maintenance tracking systems; CMMS exposure preferred)
  • Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong attention to detail with focus on safety and quality
  • The ability to obtain andmaintaina U.S. government issued security clearance isrequired. U.S. citizenship isrequired, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

  • Exposure to CNC machines or precision manufacturing environments
  • Ability to read basic mechanical drawings or technical documentation
  • Familiarity with compressed air systems, coolant systems, pumps, or industrial piping
  • Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment
  • Interest in Lean Manufacturing, TPM, or continuous improvement practices
  • Military, automotive, or entry-level industrial maintenance background
  • Familiarity with CMMS platforms such asLimbleor similar systems
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout a manufacturing environment for extended periods
  • Ability to lift upto 25-45lbsoccasionally and up to 10lbsfrequently
  • Ability to use hands and tools for mechanical tasks and equipment operation
  • Ability to work in a production environment with required PPE
  • Ability to climb, kneel, crouch, or reach as needed for maintenance tasks
