Job summary

Tiara Yachts in Holland, MI seeks a skilled Machine Maintenance Technician to maintain production equipment and support manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities include managing work orders in CMMS, repairing CNC routers and other machinery, ensuring safety and reliability, and collaborating with Engineering and Quality teams. Requires 5+ years' experience and blueprint reading ability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in machine maintenance repair.
• Ability to obtain forklift or equipment operator's license.
• Proficient reading blueprints, manuals, drawings and schematics.
• Experience with CNC machinery and robotics is preferred.
• Experience with CMMS software and maintenance practices.
• Fluent English and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute and manage work orders through CMMS software.
• Support plant layout moves and installations.
• Document repairs, PMs, and safety procedures for reliability.
• Inspect, adjust, program and repair machinery and equipment including CNC routers, pumps, hoists and robotics.
• Maintain a safe, organized work area and mentor teammates.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Production and Quality on machine changeovers.
• Coordinate with outside vendors as needed.
• Perform additional duties to meet business objectives.

You will also be responsible for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic work in the repair of equipment including CNC routers (Homag, Weekie and Northwood), CNC fabric cutters, pumps and spray equipment, Hoists and robotics.Ensure the working area tools and equipment are maintained in a clear, organized and safe manner.Provide mentorship to coworkers and Manufacturing team members as directed.Recommend and take part in systems and machine modifications with Management and Engineering.Recommend spare parts for inventory to provide equipment reliability.Work with the Engineering, Production and Quality teams to ensure effective and timely machine change overs and set-ups.Perform additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectivesCommunicate and coordinate with outside vendorsHousekeeping and other job-related dutiesPosition requires occasional on-call statusEducation and Experience:A high school diploma or equivalent or work experience which demonstrates performance competency.5 plus years in machine maintenance repair.Compliance with S2’s safety policies, practices, regulations and proceduresThe ability to obtain a Tiara Yachts forklift, aerial platform or other equipment operator’s licenseProven proficiency in reading blueprints, equipment manuals, drawings and schematicsA demonstrated technical aptitude for mechanical reasoningA well-motivated work style and excellent written and verbal skillsA willingness to participate in continuing education workshops both internally and externally as necessary.Lift up to 50 pounds with some bending and twistingAble to stand, bend, and twist 50% of the time during a typical 8-hour workdayExperience in the safe operation of maintenance shop equipment such as drill press, all types of saws and hand power tools, basic Mig WeldingFacility Maintenance, plumbing, electrical, HVAC experience a plus.The ability to perform all essential functions of the position with or without accommodations.General Job Requirements:Promote a safe and clean work environmentWillingness to work on a team or individuallyAble to follow manufacturing instruction and understand processesMust practice PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) policies as mandated per area.
