Job summary

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
  • Experience: 3–5 years in a manufacturing maintenance environment; leadership experience preferred; CMMS experience a plus.
  • Other: Availability for on-call and after-hours support.

Responsibilities

  • Leading maintenance operations for manufacturing equipment and production lines.
  • Leading and developing the technical skills and knowledge of machine-related maintenance personnel.
  • Supporting safety and operational excellence through housekeeping and maintenance best practices.
  • Leading PM/PPM programs using CMMS to support required equipment reliability.
  • Supporting troubleshooting of machine failures and recurring breakdowns.
  • Analyzing equipment failure data and root cause to improve uptime.
  • Supporting equipment upgrades and capital projects.
  • Working with production management to maximize throughput.
  • Identifying and implementing energy-saving opportunities.

We are seeking a Machine Maintenance Manager to join our team.

How will you play an integral role?

The Machine Maintenance Manager leads the maintenance function for the various types of manufacturing equipment and production lines Unifi operates, promoting a strong safety culture while ensuring high equipment reliability, maximizing machine uptime and performance, and controlling maintenance and operating costs.

What is essential for success?

Maintenance Leadership – Leads maintenance operations for manufacturing equipment and production lines by providing technical direction, prioritizing work, and ensuring equipment reliability to support production objectives.

Team Development – Leads and develops the technical skills and knowledge of machine-related maintenance team through coaching, mentoring, training, and continuous performance development.

Safety & Operational Excellence – Promotes a safe work environment by supporting workplace organization, housekeeping, and maintenance best practices while fostering a culture of operational excellence.

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance – Leads effective machine-specific preventive and predictive maintenance programs that maximize equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and improve overall asset performance.

Equipment Troubleshooting – Supports the troubleshooting of machine failures and recurring breakdowns by applying systematic problem-solving techniques to restore equipment performance and minimize production interruptions.

Root Cause Analysis – Analyzes equipment failures and identifies root causes to implement sustainable corrective actions that improve machine uptime and long-term reliability.

Capital Projects & Equipment Improvements – Supports equipment upgrades, modifications, and capital projects by collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve equipment capability, efficiency, and reliability.

Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partners closely with production management and other functional teams to maximize throughput, improve equipment performance, and achieve operational objectives.

  • Leading maintenance operations for manufacturing equipment and production lines
  • Leading and developing the technical skills and knowledge of machine-related maintenance personnel
  • Supporting safety and operational excellence through workplace organization, housekeeping, and maintenance best practices
  • Leading effective machine-specific preventive and predictive maintenance programs through CMMS utilization to support required equipment reliability
  • Supporting the troubleshooting of machine failures and recurring breakdowns
  • Analyzing equipment failure data and root cause to improve machine uptime
  • Supporting equipment upgrades and capital projects
  • Working closely with production management to maximize throughput
  • Identifying and implementing energy-saving opportunities

Are you qualified for the position?

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree or other relevant two-year degree preferred

Experience

  • Three to five years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment;automated material handling experience preferred
  • Previous leadership experience preferred
  • CMMS software experience a plus
  • Automated material handling maintenance experience is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Other

  • Availability for on-call and after-hours support, as needed
