The ideal candidate has a trade qualification (e.g., Fitter and Turner), strong knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, and proven experience using workshop tools.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Machine Maintenance Fitter or similar mechanical role.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, hydraulics, pneumatics, and power transmission.
• Proficiency with precision measuring instruments and workshop equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical manuals.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and test new machinery according to specifications.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and lubrication of mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose and repair faults in machinery, including gears, bearings, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Dismantle, clean, and reassemble machinery parts as needed.
• Fabricate or modify parts using workshop tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
• Ensure all maintenance and repair work complies with safety regulations and company standards.

About the Role
