Job summary

Hickman’s Family Farms in BREAKER - Arlington, AZ 85322 is seeking an entry-level Machine Loader to maintain a steady flow of eggs to breaking machines. You will de-stack pallets, place flats on the machine conveyor, and stay situationally aware to respond quickly to jams.

You must be able to operate a pallet jack, wear PPE, stand for long periods, and lift up to 50 pounds. This is a full-time AM shift with safety as a priority and opportunities to grow within the plant.

Qualifications

• Must be proficient and certified to operate a pallet jack.
• Good housekeeping habits and a clear work area.
• Must wear PPE: steel toe/composite boots and hearing protection.
• Able to stand for an 8 hour shift or more.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Able to stand, walk, squat, bend, lift, reach.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the machine is assembled properly.
• Ensure doors, guards, switches, belts, and conveyors are functioning.
• Clear jams and report issues to maintenance.
• Maintain safe operation and shut down as needed.

Crack Open the Possibilities - Looking for a Machine Loader!

The Machine loader is responsible for a continuous flow of eggs to the breaking machines. They will de-stack pallets and place the flats on the machine conveyor. They must be situationally aware of their surroundings and able to react quickly to machine jams.

• Making sure the machine is put together properly.
• Making sure all the doors and machine guards are secure.
• Making sure all the switches, E-stops, belts and conveyors are working
• Ensuring there are no broken or missing parts and reporting to maintenance any issues

Employee Safety Every

Loader associate must be knowledgeable about their machine, the proper settings, and precautions to prevent injury. Must Estop or otherwise secure machine from starting when clearing jams.

Qualifications and Skills

• Must be proficient and certified to operate a pallet jack.
• Must have good housekeeping habits, keeping floor clear and unobstructed.
• Must wear proper PPE at all times: steel toe/composite slip resistant boots and hearing protection
• Capable of being on your feet for an 8 hour shift or more
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to frequently stand, walk, squat, bend, lift, and reach with hands and arms
• Self-motivated and a team player
