Job summary

OpenAI in San Francisco seeks a Machine Learning Engineer for the Trust & Safety team to build and deploy ML systems that detect harmful content, biases, and safety risks in AI models.

You will collaborate with research, product, and policy teams to design robust data pipelines, evaluate safety strategies, and advance responsible AI development while staying at the forefront of AI safety research.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of machine learning engineering experience.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Familiarity with NLP and classification/detection tasks.

Responsibilities
