Job summary

Voyager Space is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to develop cutting-edge Deep Learning techniques for Computer Vision, SAR and geospatial exploitation with direct impact on US government customers.

Responsibilities include designing neural networks, pre-processing SAR data, and delivering production-grade Python code in a fast-paced, mission-critical setting. Applicants must be able to obtain a US clearance and hold a engineering degree.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain US government clearance.

  • Research, conceive, design, prototype and implement advanced Deep Neural Network Architectures and other ML models.
  • Apply deep learning to train neural networks for object detection and classification.
  • Develop domain-aware pre-processing algorithms to increase model generalization.
  • Apply signal pre-processing techniques on SAR data.
  • Create physics simulations and account for bias between simulated and real data.
  • Develop objective functions and performance assessment plans.
  • Present work at meetings and conferences.
  • Develop production-quality Python code.

Job Summary

The Company is currently seeking a Machine Learning Engineer who can develop cutting edge Deep Learning technologies applied to pressing problems in the domain of Computer Vision, Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), and Geospatial Exploitation. You will have considerable responsibility, and your role will have direct impact on relevant issues facing the United States government customers.

Responsibilities
  • Research, conceive, design, prototype and/or implement advanced Deep Neural Network Architectures as well as other relevant Machine Learning models
  • Apply deep learning algorithms to train neural networks for object detection and classification
  • Develop domain-aware pre-processing algorithms, and other methods to increase model generalization
  • Apply signal pre-processing techniques on SAR data
  • Create physics simulations of various phenomenologies and develop methods to account for bias between simulated and real-world data
  • Develop appropriate objective functions and sound performance assessment plans
  • Present work at meetings and conferences
  • Develop and deliver production-quality code (mainly Python)
Required Qualifications
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US government clearance (requires US citizenship)
  • 5-15 years applicable experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong background in Machine Learning (preferably Deep Neural Networks)
  • Need to be flexible in a small business environment
  • Familiarity with radar sensing phenomenology
  • Open Source frameworks is a huge plus
  • Ability to program in multiple languages (Python, Matlab, C/C++).

The good faith base salary range for this role is $160,000.00 to $210,000.00 at the time of this posting. Where you fall within the range depends on your experience, skills, and location. This range reflects base salary only and does not include benefits or bonus/incentive. This range may be adjusted in the future.
