ByteDance in Seattle is seeking a PhD candidate for a Machine Learning Engineer Intern role focused on E-commerce Governance Algorithms. You will work with a team to design and implement algorithms to detect and control risks and fraud across contents, products, sellers and creators.

This is a 2026 start internship in the Technology team. The role requires pursuing a PhD in CS or a related field, with interests in ML, NLP or computer vision and programming in C++, Python, Go or Java.

Job Information

The hourly rate range for this position in the selected city is $57- $57.

Benefits

Interns also receive 10 paid holidays per year and paid sick time (56 hours if hired in first half of year, 40 if hired in second half of year). Interns who are not working 100% remote may also be eligible for housing allowance.
