Ladders is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer II (ROA + LTV ML) to join the team in a remote US-based capacity. The role focuses on building and scaling ML systems that improve credit decisioning, default prediction, and model performance across the customer lifecycle.

You will partner with engineering and cross-functional stakeholders to turn data into production-ready models with measurable business impact.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a machine learning engineer or a PhD in a relevant field.
• Proficiency in ML techniques including GLMs, Gradient Boosting, and Deep Learning.
• Strong programming skills in Python and data manipulation with SQL.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems like Spark or Ray.
• Familiarity with open-source tools such as scikit-learn, pandas, and XGBoost.
• Proven track record of developing machine learning models from inception to business impact.
• Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong sense of responsibility and persistence in decision-making processes.

For our client, we are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer II (ROA + LTV ML) to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This role will focus on building and scaling machine learning systems that improve credit decisioning, default prediction, and model performance across the customer lifecycle. You will partner closely with engineering and cross-functional stakeholders to turn data into production-ready models and measurable business impact. The work blends applied machine learning, large-scale data processing, and practical product collaboration in a fast-moving financial services environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $133,000 - $183,000 annually
