Job summary

DoorDash is seeking Software Engineers, Machine Learning to build and operate a large-scale, 24x7 global infrastructure for its grocery and retail delivery platform. You will design, train, and deploy ML solutions to enhance the product knowledge graph, embeddings, and audience targeting, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

Ideal candidates hold a MS/PhD, 3+ years of ML experience, and hands-on work with PySpark, Snowflake, PyTorch, and related tools.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in a technical field (CS, math, statistics, physics).
• 3+ years ML industry experience with core algorithms.
• Experience building data/feature pipelines at scale with PySpark and Snowflake SQL.
• Production ML systems using PyTorch, Keras, LightGBM, scikit-learn.
• Experience in online ads, search relevance, or recommender systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop advanced ML models to improve ads efficiency and quality.
• Design optimization algorithms for budgeting and bidding.
• Establish data-driven framework to understand bid density and market competitiveness.
• Develop data solutions (embeddings, consumer profiles) for targeting.
• Own end-to-end ML lifecycle from ideation to deployment and monitoring.
• Extend data/ML infra for ads data applications and experimentation.
• Scale systems to support business growth.
