Job summary

Peraton seeks a skilled AI/ML engineer to design, test and productize algorithms addressing critical national security programs. You will oversee data pipelines, governance, and model metrics while aligning with customer requirements and business logic.

Responsibilities include training, deployment and monitoring of models, plus leading geographically diverse teams and acting as the main point of contact for AI matters. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with current Polygraph.
• 2+ years of applied ML experience in similar scope programs.
• Bachelor's degree in advanced math or CS from an accredited college or university.
• Three additional ML years may substitute for the degree.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, test, and productize AI/ML algorithms to solve business challenges.
• Proficient in model architecture, data pipelines, metrics, interpretation and presentation.
• Familiar with application development, infrastructure management, data engineering and governance.
• Experience training, retraining, deploying, scheduling, monitoring and improving models for scalable solutions.
• Lead geographically diverse teams and serve as primary POC for AI-related matters.

Job description

Basic Requirements:

• Active TS/SCI with current Polygraph required
• Two (2) years of experience in applied machine learning in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required
• Bachelor's Degree in advanced math (e.g., Calculus, Linear Algebra or Bayesian statistics), Computer Science or related STEM discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Three (3) years of additional machine learning experience on projects with similar machine learning processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Project Description:

• The team supports a suite of web-based applications that automate data management for IC data custodians.
• The products facilitate the capture of information and approvals that allow for the movement of data through the customer mission space in a compliant manner.
• These products are critical to standardize and simplify data movement as well as data reuse and integration with downstream tools.

Job Description:

• Design, create, test, and productize Al/ML algorithms to solve business challenges.
  • The Al/ML models created should be capable of learning and making predictions as defined by the business logic developed to meet customer requirements.
• Proficient in all aspects of model architecture, data pipeline interaction, metrics application, interpretation, and presentation.
• Familiarity with foundational concepts of application development, infrastructure management, data engineering, and data governance.
• Experience training, retraining, deploying, scheduling, monitoring, and improving models based on iterative user and system feedback is required to support designing and creating scalable solutions for optimal performance.
• Responsible for leading geographically diverse teams and will often serve as a primary POC for Al-related matters, so must have exceptional analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
