Job summary

GTT is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer for a 7-month hybrid contract in Evanston, IL. The role requires 4 years of ML Engineering experience, knowledge graphs, Neo4j, prompt engineering, RAG, vector DB, PySpark/Spark SQL, and AWS EMR/EKS familiarity.

Onsite in Evanston three days a week (Tue–Thu) if in Chicago; fully remote possible otherwise. The ideal candidate will set up and operationalize ML models, build data pipelines, and ensure SDLC/Agile practices are followed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of ML Engineering experience with knowledge graphs and graph databases.
• Experience building and deploying ML models in production.
• Familiarity with AWS services (EMR, EKS) and data engineering tools.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum practices.

Responsibilities

• Set up, deploy, and monitor ML models in production environments.
• Design and maintain data pipelines using PySpark/Spark SQL.
• Collaborate with data engineers and stakeholders on data requirements.
• Ensure governance and best practices across ML development lifecycle.

Machine Learning Engineer

Location: Evanston, IL

Contract Details

• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 7 months
• Pay Rate: $80.00–$85.00 / Hour (USD)
• Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.

Job Summary

This is a Machine Learning Engineering role requiring 4 years of experience in ML Engineering, knowledge graphs, Neo4j graph database, prompt engineering, RAG, vector DB, data engineering (PySpark/Spark SQL), and familiarity with AWS services such as EMR and EKS. If sitting in Chicago, the role requires 3 days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) in the Evanston office. If fully remote, there is no need to come to the office unless asked by the project team when needed for client meetings.

Required Skills

• Strong expertise in setting up and operationalizing ML models
• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS)
• Data Engineering using PySpark/Spark SQL using EMR compute
• Knowledge of SDLC, governance, and Agile/Scrum practices
• Ability to create data pipelines, test, debug, and monitor execution
