Pratt Industries, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Machine Helper to assist operators on all machines, including setup, operation, and cleanup. The role offers 2nd and 3rd shift openings with training on 1st shift before transitioning to off-shifts.
The position requires a high school diploma or GED and a willingness to work overtime and weekends. Candidates should be able to read and follow factory master instructions, read tape measures, and perform basic math.
Responsible for all activities associated with helping operators on all machines including setup, operation, cleanup, and recommending improvements to operations.
This is an entry level, hourly position where advancement in operations is expected. Must be able to work overtime including some weekend work. Must have good attendance. Currently hiring for 2nd & 3rd shift openings. You will train on 1st then go to the off-shift.
Can include but are not limited to:
High school diploma or GED.
Experience within a manufacturing or production environment is preferred.
Able to read and follow instructions on factory masters.
Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy. Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate. Able to apply concepts of high school math.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form. Ability to deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations.
The individual must have a working knowledge of the following:
May be required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License.
