Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a Production Machine Helper for the Greer, SC plant on 1st shift (6:30am–3pm). The role supports the machine operator to produce top quality corrugated boxes in a high-volume environment.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 1 year of manufacturing experience, and the ability to read safety rules, measure with a tape, and perform basic math. Drug screening applies after conditional offer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 1 year manufacturing experience in a high-volume setting.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to read a tape measure and have basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to lift, push and/or pull 50 lbs., navigate stairs, stand, walk, bend, and kneel throughout the shift.
• Ability to communicate effectively with other employees and management.
• Maintain good attendance.

• Follow all standard operating procedures and instructions relevant to the job, position, and department safely and accurately.
• Maintain general knowledge and understanding of production processes and equipment.
• Perform routine adjustments during the production run and maintain production throughout the run.
• Perform all assigned work effectively and on schedule.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and comply with all safety regulations.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.

Pay: $20.86/hr-$22.18.hr
