Job summary

Carlisle Companies in Town of Montgomery, NY, is seeking a production worker to manufacture Poly–ISO insulation to published specifications, operate saws and packaging equipment, and read tape measures.

Responsibilities include setting up packaging equipment, handling Lantech rolls, ensuring accurate bundle counts, and maintaining quality packaging, while adhering to safety policies. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Knowledge of safety aspects of all equipment and plant safety policy.
• Knowledge of processing specifications and quality standards for products.
• Ability to read tape measures.

• Cross-train in a production operator job within 4 months (Robots or Saws)

Job Summary

Production of Poly–ISO Insulation to published specifications. Tasks include operation of saws and packaging equipment. Knowledge of processing specifications, operation of production equipment, calculation of output square feet, sheet length. Other skills include the ability to read tape measures. Operation of forklifts.

Pay Range

$24.00 - $25.00

Duties and Responsibilities

• Packaging Equipment setup, and upkeep of Lantech

Required Skills/Abilities/Knowledge

• Knowledge and certified in Lock-out, Tag-out program
• Forklift
• Knowledge of processing specifications and quality standards for products
• Knowledge of safety aspects of all equipment as well as the plant's general safety policy
• Understanding the impact of sending incorrect/defective product.

Equipment Used

• Equipment Operated - forklifts, panel and foot saw and packaging equipment
• Tools Required - Various hand tools and required PPE as needed.
• Data Used - Production schedule, SAPI
• Inter-personal skills - including the ability to be a team player, the ability to pass on information and training of others.

Work Environment

• Activities occur inside and insulation manufacturing facility. Job includes but are not limited to exposure to the following:
  • Temperatures exposed to both ambient/outside temperatures.
  • Nuisance dust, use of chemicals, working with mechanical parts, pinch points.
  • Noise of industrial machinery.
  • Typically 40 hour per week with overtime as required

Educational Requirements
