Job summary

Loftness Specialized Farm Equipment is seeking a Machine Assembler to join our manufacturing team on the Hector, MN site. You will assemble mechanical and electrical subassemblies, read schematics, and perform final inspections to ensure quality and proper fit.

You’ll use hand and power tools, follow SOPs, and help document production records. The role requires attention to detail, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and the stamina to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical and/or electrical components and subassemblies into final products according to blueprints, work orders, and verbal instructions.
  • Perform final inspection of assembled products to ensure proper fit, function, and quality.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and assembly fixtures safely and effectively.
  • Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and bills of materials.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and quality assurance processes.
  • Identify and report defective parts, faulty assemblies, or inconsistencies in documentation.
  • Perform functional tests and troubleshooting as needed on completed units.
  • Maintain accurate production and quality records.
  • Assist with packaging and preparing products for shipment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and team meetings.
  • Keep work area clean and organized

Position Summary:

Machine Assembler is responsible for assembling, fitting, and installing components and systems in the final stage of the manufacturing process. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and adherence to quality and safety standards to ensure finished products meet specifications.

Hours: Expected 40 hours per week
