Job summary

TRUMPF Inc. seeks an assembly professional to prepare electrical components and finish machines in line with engineering specifications and TRUMPF quality standards. You will use blueprints, BOMs, and hydraulic/electrical schematics to assemble with precision and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of assembly experience or five years in manufacturing machine-tool parts, maintenance, or service.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance and perform repetitive reaching, bending, and other physical tasks.
• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints, engineering drawings, part lists, and schematics.
• Experience using precision measuring and assembly tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with electrical wiring assembly is a plus.
• Basic computer literacy is preferred.
• Forklift certification or experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components and complete machines using drawings, BOMs, blueprints, and hydraulic/electrical/pneumatic schematics.
• Use precision measuring and assembly tools to meet tolerances.
• Select and use fixtures to support efficient assembly.
• Operate an overhead crane to move heavy components safely.
• Follow TRUMPF quality standards and inspection requirements.
• Read, convert, and measure in both imperial and metric systems.
• Collaborate with supervisors and colleagues to achieve goals.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area per lean manufacturing principles.
• Follow safety procedures and wear PPE.
• Support continuous improvement with constructive feedback.

This position of a Machine Assembler - Electrical is responsible for assembling TRUMPF products in accordance with engineering specifications, quality standards, and established manufacturing procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components and complete machines using engineering drawings, bills of materials, blueprints, and hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic schematics.
• Use precision measuring and assembly tools—including torque wrenches, depth gauges, dial indicators, and digital levels—to meet required tolerances.
• Select and properly use fixtures and other equipment to support efficient, accurate assembly.
• Operate an overhead crane to safely move heavy components during assembly.
• Follow TRUMPF quality standards and inspection requirements.
• Read, convert, and measure accurately using both imperial and metric systems.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and colleagues to achieve team and production goals.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with TRUMPF lean manufacturing principles.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
• Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities and providing constructive feedback.

Experience & Education
