Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States is seeking a detail‑oriented student or early professional to support tax consulting for mergers and acquisitions. You will consult on tax issues in restructurings, conduct due diligence, and prepare projections of after‑tax proceeds and tax gross‑ups.

You'll work with clients and their attorneys on transaction structuring, review completed deals for tax terms, and participate in client discussions, developing knowledge through hands‑on experience in tax consulting

Qualifications

  • Detail-oriented individual with exceptional analytical, research, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interest in mergers and acquisitions, transaction advisory services, and tax consulting.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex topics and communicate conclusions clearly through written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to balance technical analysis with practical business considerations.
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or a related field; or pursuing a JD or LLM.
  • Intention to pursue CPA licensure or a JD or LLM.
  • Academic success with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
  • Prior coursework, experience, or demonstrated interest in mergers and acquisitions, corporate taxation, partnership taxation, transaction advisory services, or business law is preferred.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship, except qualified candidates bilingual in Japanese and English or Chinese and English

Responsibilities
