Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Director, Corporate Development to lead M&A deal execution, upstream strategic planning, and deal structuring. You will work with external stakeholders and internal cross-functional teams to evaluate opportunities, perform financial analyses, and guide integration planning.

This role requires 6+ years in corporate development or related fields and a proven track record of leading complex transactions, with strong collaboration and communication skills to influence

Qualifications

• 6+ years’ experience in corporate development, mergers & acquisitions, investment banking, private equity, strategy or finance preferred
• Direct experience executing M&A transactions from start to finish with strong financial capabilities and project management skills
• Direct experience with M&A valuation and financial modeling, sufficient to lead and develop resources

Responsibilities

• Deal Strategy: Assess inorganic priorities and develop a business case for each acquisition with market analysis and investment requirements
• Due Diligence: Identify critical due diligence items impacting modeling and integration planning
• Financial Analysis: Create and review detailed financial models and valuation analyses to assess ROI
• Deal Structuring: Collaborate with Tax, Legal, Accounting and Treasury teams to structure transactions
• Deal Approval: Support communications with Cardinal Health leadership and facilitate approval processes
• Integration Planning: Coordinate integration activities to meet business needs and budgets
• Separation Planning: Support divestiture plans and transition services agreements
• Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements throughout the M&A process
