Job summary

IGS is seeking a Summer Associate in M&A for 2027, based in Boston, MA, with a start in Summer or Fall 2027. The role offers high-impact client work on private equity and growth strategy, rapid development, and direct exposure to investors in a boutique environment.

Candidates graduating between December 2026 and June 2027, with strong academics and internships, are preferred. The position is based in Boston, with compensation around $100,000 annually and a demanding schedule typical of the firm.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree with expected graduation between December 2026 and June 2027.
• Strong academic record; GPA 3.5+ preferred.
• Professional work and/or internship experience required.
• High proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is a plus.
• Leadership and/or management experience is a plus.
• Exceptional research, analytical, and quantitative skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and conduct market research to answer critical client questions.
• Prepare analyses, synthesize findings, and deliver actionable insights to clients.
• Collaborate with team members to create high-impact presentations for senior executives and investors.
• IGS Associates are regularly required to work more than 50 hours/week.
