Job summary

Gyde is building the first AI-native insurance brokerage platform and seeks an M&A Analyst to power the analysis behind every brokerage evaluated, acquired, and closed. You will turn messy seller data into clean financials, build EBITDA bridges, and draft memos for the investment committee as Gyde scales its acquisition pace across Medicare Advantage, ACA, and employee benefits.

This role sits at the center of the deal team, coordinating diligence, modeling, and live deals, with travel up to 10%

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, transaction advisory or strategy consulting.
• Strong command of accounting and financial statements, able to build a three-statement or deal model from a blank spreadsheet.
• Knowledge of EBITDA normalization, addbacks, valuation multiples, debt and equity financing, and returns analysis.
• Exposure to insurance distribution, brokerage, or healthcare services is a plus.
• Proficient with AI tools while maintaining human judgment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the financial models behind every deal, including EBITDA bridges, quality-of-earnings adjustments, valuation, sources and uses, and returns.
• Spread and normalize seller financials, tax returns, and carrier statements into a clean numbers set.
• Pressure-test addbacks and revenue quality, including owner compensation and one-time items.
• Draft analysis and charts for investment committee memos and help shape deal structure.
• Screen targets against acquisition criteria and maintain live deal pipeline.
• Coordinate diligence requests across financial, legal, and tax workstreams.
• Collaborate with third-party advisors on QOE, tax, and legal diligence.
• Support signing and closing processes and data handoffs to integration teams.
• Help build AI-assisted workflows and templates to speed up deal processes.
• Ensure data is clean for the Value Creation team at integration start.
