Job summary

Altra Homecare Group is seeking compassionate Home Health Aides and Personal Care Caregivers to provide non-medical in-home care in Elwood, Indiana, and surrounding areas. You will help clients stay safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes.

Responsibilities include personal care, mobility assistance, light housekeeping, meal support, and companionship. CPR certification, a valid driver's license, and caregiving experience are preferred; training adheres to state and federal

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18.
• Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• Current CPR certification.
• Ability to read, follow written instructions, and document care accurately.
• Willingness to complete training required by state and federal regulations.
• 1+ year of caregiving or related experience preferred.

• Assist with ambulation, mobility, and transfers
• Lead range-of-motion exercises and light physical activities
• Prepare light meals and assist with feeding as needed
• Provide medication reminders
• Monitor and record client temperature
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry
• Offer companionship, including reading and letter writing
• Promote client safety and report changes to your supervisor promptly
• Maintain accurate care documentation and follow all care plans and protocols
• Follow HIPAA privacy policies and infection control guidelines
