Qualifications

• Valid Ohio Massage Therapy License (LMT) required; MLD/CLT certification preferred.
• 1–2+ years of hands-on lymphatic drainage experience for pre-op, post-op and wellness.
• Solid understanding of surgical recovery timelines for facial and body procedures.
• Warm, empathetic communication suited to a luxury aesthetic practice.
• Strict HIPAA/privacy compliance and OSHA hygiene standards.

The Role

We are seeking a skilled, licensed Lymphatic Massage Therapist to join our practice. In this role, you will deliver specialized facial and full-body Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) therapy across the entire patient care journey—supporting pre-operative tissue prep, post-surgical recovery, and medspa wellness.

You will work closely with Dr. Tork and our clinical team to prepare patients before surgery to prime their lymphatic system, facilitate post-operative healing across facial and body procedures (reducing fluid retention, bruising, and fibrosis), and provide wellness-focused facial depuffing and body sculpting treatments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Comprehensive Lymphatic Therapy & Patient Care

• Pre-Operative Preparation: Perform targeted pre-op MLD sessions to open lymphatic channels, stimulate circulation, soften tissue, and relax the patient prior to facial and body surgeries.
• Post-Surgical Recovery (Face & Body): Deliver gentle, specialized MLD techniques for post-op facial procedures (facelifts, blepharoplasty, rhinoplasty) and body procedures (liposuction, tummy tucks) to accelerate healing, minimize bruising, and prevent seromas/fibrosis.
• Facial Sculpting & Wellness: Provide non-surgical facial lymphatic drainage to depuff, define contours, boost skin radiance, and relieve sinus tension for medspa clients.
• Body Contouring & Detoxification: Deliver full-body lymphatic treatments to enhance silhouette contouring, assist natural detoxification, and promote systemic recovery.
• Customized Treatment Plans & Education: Assess individual tissue needs across pre-op, post-op, or wellness stages and educate clients on hydration, at-home self-care, and post-treatment recovery protocols.

2. Clinical Standards & Treatment Room Management

• Sanitation & Atmosphere: Maintain an impeccably clean, sanitized, and relaxing treatment room before, during, and after each session in alignment with luxury practice standards.
• Clinical Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant treatment notes and charting within the practice system.
• Supplies & Inventory: Utilize practice-provided equipment, linens, facial/body oils, and PPE, ensuring treatment rooms remain fully stocked and orderly.
• Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative working relationship with Dr. Tork, clinical and administrative staff, and medspa providers for seamless continuity of care.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills

• Licensure & Certification: Valid Ohio Massage Therapy License (LMT) required. Specialized certification in Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) or Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT) required.
• Experience: 1–2+ years of hands-on experience performing lymphatic drainage for pre-op, post-op, and wellnes s (face and body).
• Clinical Knowledge: Strong understanding of surgical recovery timelines and contraindications across facial and body plastic surgery procedures.
• Hospitality Mindset & Polish: Warm, empathetic, and professional communication skills fitting an elevated luxury aesthetic practice.
• Patient Privacy & Compliance: Strict adherence to HIPAA confidentiality protocols and OSHA hygiene/safety standards.
