Qualifikationen

• Current Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) credential in Minnesota or eligibility to meet Minnesota registration requirements.
• Experience in a veterinary clinical setting preferred.
• Surgical and anesthesia experience strongly preferred.
• Proficient in IV catheter placement, blood collection, and in-house diagnostics.
• Strong animal handling, patient assessment, and communication with clients.

Aufgaben

• Assist veterinarians with surgical procedures, anesthesia monitoring, and perioperative patient care.
• Safely place intravenous (IV) catheters and obtain patient histories.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain clean, organized spaces.
• Collect blood samples and run in-house diagnostics; report results.
• Educate clients on medications, treatment plans, and post-operative care.
• Restrain and handle animals safely; assist with dental procedures.
• Monitor patients and communicate changes to the veterinarian.
• Maintain infection-control standards and overall hospital cleanliness.
