Job summary

Citrus Health Group seeks a Licensed Vocational Nurse in California to join our Nursing department. You will provide total resident care under RN supervision, administer medications, and perform treatments while educating residents and families as directed.

Requirements include CA LVN licensure and BCLS certification, plus at least six months LVN experience in acute care. Multiple shifts are available, with both full-time and part-time options.

Qualifications

• Current, valid Licensed Vocational Nurse licensure to practice in California.
• Current BCLS certification.
• LVN graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Six months LVN experience in a general acute care hospital setting or equivalent.
• Must read, analyze, and interpret common scientific/technical information in English.
• Mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units; weight/volume calculations.

Responsibilities

• Performs assigned resident care duties for chronically ill and dependent residents.
• Completes initial and ongoing assessments in a timely manner.
• Differentiates normal vs abnormal findings and intervenes per physician orders.
• Collaborates with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team to develop an individualized plan of care.
• Demonstrates clinical judgment in implementing and evaluating care plans.
• Monitors resident condition changes and reports to RN, attending physician, family and team.
• Administers medications, including pain management.
• Provides IV care if certified within scope.
• Delivers treatments (wound care, catheter care, etc.) per physician direction.
• Responds to emergencies per procedures and maintains safety.
• Maintains knowledge to promote health and well-being of residents.
• Respects resident rights and privacy in care delivery.
• Identifies education needs and provides teaching to residents and families.
