Job summary

Caraday Healthcare, LLC seeks an LVN Scheduler to assist residents with activities of daily living and to manage facility staffing and scheduling. The role supports the Director of Nursing and works within the administrative department on-site in Round Rock, Texas.

The successful candidate will hold a current LVN license, be CPR certified or obtain certification within 30 days, and demonstrate strong English communication and organizational skills to manage schedules and staff coverage.

Responsibilities

• Follow resident assignment schedule as set by the charge nurse.
• Assist with bathing, grooming and daily care.
• Lift, move and transfer residents safely.
• Answer call lights promptly.
• Participate in on-call schedule as assigned.
• Develop and post daily staffing schedule.
• Maintain staffing records for the past year.
• Support CNA or CMA on floor as needed.

REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF NURSING

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living in order to promote resident independence and dignity. Also responsible for facility scheduling.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Bathe, shower, shampoo, shave, comb hair, dress appropriately, and perform nail care of any residents assigned
• Follow resident assignment schedule as made out by the charge nurse
• Lift, move, and transfer residents as required
• Answer call lights in a timely manner
• Assist or feed residents
• Keep resident clean and dry, toileting or providing incontinent care
• Provide supportive, protective, and safe environments for residents
• Monthly schedule development based on facility budgeted PPD
• Complete and post daily schedule
• Complete daily staffing sheet postings and maintain one year of postings
• Work to replace staff for PTO/sick requests, call in's, absenteeism
• Track attendance of clinical team membersWork on the floor as a CNA or CMA as needed
• Participate in on call schedule as assigned
• Understand and adhere to the guidelines of “Residents Rights” and assure resident safety
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

• Current LVN license
• CPR certified required; 30 days will be given to complete a course and get certified
• Ability to understand, remember and carry out verbal or written instructions in English
• Ability to complete assignments in a timely manner
• Ability to work flexibly and positively with intermittent interruptions
• Ability to speak clearly and provide educational skills that are conducive to a good learning environment in training staff on skill related work; good customer service

Preferred

• 2 years nurse experience in long term care/skilled nursing

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The ability to safely perform movements such as pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, kneeling, and reaching up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations

WORK SCHEDULE:

As assigned; including some weekends evenings and holidays
