Job summary

Del Sol Medical Center is seeking an Inpatient Rehabilitation Licensed Practical Nurse (LVN) based in El Paso, Texas. This role involves administering medication, monitoring patient progress, and assisting with daily living activities to help patients regain independence after illness or injury. Candidates must complete an LVN program, hold a Texas nursing license, and ideally have 1-2 years of experience though new graduates are welcome. Qualifications

• Completion of an LVN program is required.
• Candidate must hold an LVN license in Texas or a Compact State.
• Experience preferred: 1-2 years LVN but open to New Grad LVNs.
• Basic Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days.
• LPN/LVN licensure is mandatory.

In this role, you will help patients regain strength, mobility, and independence after illness, injury, or extended hospital stays, with average stays of two to three weeks. Your Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments, monitor responses, and report changes promptly.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and activities of daily living (ADLs) to support therapy goals and promote independence.
• Monitor vital signs and neurological status to detect changes and respond quickly.
• Document progress and functional ability to guide care planning and team coordination.
• Educate and support patients and families about recovery milestones, safety, and self‑care techniques.
• Work closely with nurses, therapists, and physicians to deliver personalized, high‑quality care.

Qualifications

• Completion of LVN program.
• LVN license in the state of Texas or Compact State.
• Most units prefer experienced LVNs with at least 1‑2 years but are open to New Grad LVNs.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• LPN/LVN licensed practical or vocational nurse.
• High School Graduate / GED.
