Job summary

Way Home Detox in Rohnert Park, CA is interviewing for Licensed Vocational Nurses to support clients through their treatment from admission to discharge, on an overnight/graveyard schedule. As part of the nursing staff, you will coordinate with physicians and the clinical team, perform medication monitoring, nursing assessments, intake duties, and ensure client safety.

Required: CA LVN license, CPR & First Aid, negative TB, valid CA driver's license, and ability to pass a background check;

Qualifications

• Must hold a current LVN license in California.
• CPR & First Aid certification required.
• Current Negative TB Test.
• Valid California driver's license.
• Must be able to pass Background Check.

Responsibilities

• Medication monitoring process.
• Nursing assessment and ongoing assessments of the client condition, including nursing notes each shift and shift notes.
• Intake nursing duties including health and nutrition screen, consents, entering medications on logs.
• Accepting and transcribing physician and psychiatrist medication orders.
• Medical discharge preparation and approval of medications via physicians orders.
• Medication counts and ordering from the pharmacy as required, may use EHR fax tool.
• Med room audits to ensure item availability and expiration dates current.
• Communicates client behavior to Physicians and clinical team.
• Vital signs, CIWAS/COWS and client rounds as required.

We're interviewing now at our Rohnert Park, CA facility! Looking for client-focused experienced LVN's who have a basic knowledge of mental health and substance abuse clientele!

We are seeking LVN's to fill Full-Time positions. Our nursing staff works 12 hour shifts. This posting is for an overnight/graveyard schedule LVN.

General Summary:

The Licensed Vocational Nurse is responsible for supporting clients through their treatment experience from admission to discharge. They work as a liaison between the physicians, psychiatrists, and clinical team to assist clients with their treatment and ensure client safety.

Responsibilities:

• Medication monitoring process
• Nursing assessment and ongoing assessments of the client condition, including nursing notes each shift and shift notes
• Intake nursing duties including health and nutrition screen, consents, entering medications on centrally stored logs, entering medications in controlled medication logs and other intake duties
• Accepting and transcribing physician and psychiatrist medication orders
• Medical discharge preparation and approval of medications via physicians orders
• Medication counts and ordering from the pharmacy as required, may use EHR fax tool
• Med room audits to ensure availability of items and items expiration dates are current
• Communicates client behavior toPhysicians and clinical team
• Vital signs, CIWAS/COWS and client rounds as required

Requirements:

• Current Licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse,
• CPR & First Aid certification
• Current Negative TB Test
• Valid California Driver's License
• Must be able to passBackground Check

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited Vocational Nursing School or Nursing Program (required)
• Must understand therapeutic process, confidentiality laws, professional ethics, fundamentals of addiction, and mental health disabilities and treatment
• Must be willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays if needed
