Job summary

Madera Community College is seeking a part‑time Licensed Vocational Nursing Instructor to educate a diverse student body in a variety of instructional settings, including evening, weekend, online, and off‑campus formats. The role includes preparation and delivery of theory classes and hospital clinical laboratory experiences.

You will work with diverse student backgrounds, contribute to equity-minded practice, and stay current with teaching standards and vocational nursing ethics.

Qualifications

  • Requires CA RN or LVN license.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of related experience OR Associate degree with 6+ years of related experience.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and diverse student backgrounds.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Vocational Nursing in multiple settings (evening, weekend, online, off-campus).
  • Prepare and deliver theory classes and clinical lab experiences.
  • Demonstrate ability to teach in pediatric, psychiatric, perinatal, medical-surgical areas.
  • Communicate professionally with students and staff; advise students.
  • Incorporate instructional technologies and develop classroom presentations.
  • Participate in program review and student learning outcomes assessment.
