Job summary

Pacifica Hospital of the Valley is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our patient care team. Under supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care, administer medications, document assessments, and help meet resident needs to ensure quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds a CA LVN license, has BLS, and strong communication and organizational skills. Prior acute or subacute hospital experience is preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Valid CA Vocational Nurse License (LVN).
• BLS required.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and organization skills required.
• Basic computer skills – Empower (EHR) and PCC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administering medications and treatments
• Implementing and documenting timely interventions appropriate to resident needs while functioning with the California LVN Scope of Practice
• Obtaining and recording accurate physical assessment data based on diagnosis and care plan
• Communicating resident status to the Registered Nurse
• Responding to resident requests and/or call lights with appropriate action
• Delivering consistent quality patient care, evidenced by residents being clean and comfortable
