Job summary

BSA Health System in Amarillo, TX seeks a Day shift, full-time Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for the Medical Surgical Renal 6A unit. The LVN will assist the Registered Nurse and physician in assessing health status, interpreting data, and planning care in collaboration with patients and families.

The role requires completion of an accredited LVN program, Texas LVN licensure, and BLS certification within 14 days of hire. IV certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited LVN program.
• Valid LVN license in the state of Texas.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist Registered Nurse and physician in determining health status and health needs of patients based on data interpretation and preventative health practices, in collaboration with patients and families.
