Job summary

Wellpath is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to assist in delivering patient care within a correctional healthcare setting. The role involves medication administration, patient education, and implementing treatment plans under supervision.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, active LPN/LVN licensure in the state, and current CPR certification. This part-time position offers opportunities for clinical growth within a mission-driven team.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• One (1) or more years clinic experience preferred.
• Current licensure as an LPN or LVN in the state employed.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient assessments, care planning, and implementation of individualized treatment plans under the direction of healthcare practitioners.
• Administer medications, perform laboratory testing and drug screens, and obtain diagnostic tests in accordance with orders and protocols.
• Maintain controlled substance counts and complete required medication administration and inventory documentation.
• Respond to health emergencies, apply safety procedures, and assist with medical and minor surgical procedures as needed.
• Document nursing encounters and communicate patient information with healthcare providers and care team members.

How you make a difference
