Pomona Valley Hospital Medical Center is seeking an LVN to assist in delivering nursing care, monitor patient flow, and dispense medications under physician orders. The role includes discharge instructions and completing Superbills and forms for charges and diagnoses.
Requirements include a California LVN license, BLS, IV Therapy and Phlebotomy certificates, and at least one year of lead LVN experience in a primary or urgent care setting. Office software skills are expected.
The LVN assists the practitioner in the delivery of nursing care and monitoring patient flow. LVN is required to dispense medications in addition to performing all duties and responsibilities of the Medical Assistant. Must follow physician orders and give the patient their discharge instructions. Need to use the clinic’s fee schedule and complete the patient’s Superbill documenting all charges and diagnosis. Must follow route slips for physicals and drug screens, completing the necessary forms. LVN assists in patient teaching assignments. Maintains an inventory of medications. Training clinical staff on PVHMC Policies and Procedures. Responsible for the monthly schedule of Back Office Staff. May perform other duties as assigned.
Valid license as Licensed Vocational Nurse issued by the State of California. High school diploma or equivalent. BLS, must have valid certificates showing completion of an IV Therapy course and Phlebotomy. Minimum of one year Lead LVN experience in a Primary Care or Urgent Care Clinic. Basic Microsoft Office computer skills.
ACLS, PALS, DOT Drug Screens, Audiometry and BATs certifications.
$31.13 - $43.80 hourly. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
