Job summary

Scripps Health in San Diego, CA, is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for a full-time, on-site role at the Carmel Valley clinic. The position supports 80 hours per pay period with a 10-hour day shift schedule across four days weekly, emphasizing patient care, education, and teamwork.

The LVN will perform assessments, administer medications, educate patients and families, and uphold infection control standards while adhering to scope of practice and English-language requirements.

Qualifications

• Current California LVN license.
• American Heart Association BLS for Health Care Provider.
• Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing).
• Excellent interpersonal skills.

• Perform patient assessments and care tasks, including emergency procedures and medication administration as appropriate.
• Educate patients and families and document patient interactions.
• Practice infection control and contribute to the team to ensure quality patient care within own scope of practice.

Job description

This is a benefited, full-time position (80 hours per pay period) with a 10-hour day shift schedule working 4 days a week, located at our Scripps Clinic in Carmel Valley. This position will work from 7:15-5:45pm, Monday through Wednesday and Friday.
