Job summary

TCH Medical Center is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide direct patient care in a fast-paced setting. You will collect data, assess patients, administer medications, and document care in the electronic health record.

You will work closely with a healthcare team, perform exams and treatments as directed, and ensure patient safety through adherence to practice protocols and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Licensed vocational nursing diploma (or equivalent) required by state.
• Texas LVN license required or Texas Board of Nursing exception documented.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Gather patient data, vitals, BMI, and visit reason; document accurately.
• Prepare patients for exams per protocol and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and immunizations as directed; document in EHR.
• Educate patients and families per provider instructions and record in the EHR.
• Verify payer coverage when referring patients and prepare specimens/lab tests as ordered.
