Job summary

Accel Rehabilitation Hospital of Plano is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for DAYS PRN 7am–7pm to join our Plano facility. You will participate in and direct delivery of patient care in accordance with facility systems, regulatory requirements, and physician orders, ensuring the highest quality services in a customer-service friendly environment.

The LVN role requires current licensure, supervisory experience, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Current, valid LVN licensure required.
• Experience in long-term healthcare preferred.
• Management or supervisory experience required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong written and verbal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains nursing service objectives and standards.
• Evaluates staffing patterns with Director of Nursing.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Receives, transcribes, and implements physician orders.
• Implements and evaluates care plans.
• Identifies and secures equipment supplies.
• Directs and oversees subordinates.
• Participates in duty assignments.
• Organizes tasks and time management for staff.
• Monitors staff performance and conducts coaching as needed.
• Monitors infection control compliance.
• Investigates accidents/incidents and documents.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

LVN Responsibilities:

• Maintains appropriate nursing service objectives, goals, and standards of nursing practices consistent with licensure requirements and the Nurse Practice Act.

• Evaluates staffing pattern needed to meet the needs of the residents in conjunction with the Director of Nursing.

• Administers medication/treatments as prescribed.

• Receive, transcribe, and implement physician’s orders.

• Implements and evaluates care plans.

• Identifies/secures equipment supplies

• Directs/oversees subordinates.

• Participates in duty assignments.

• Organizes/coordinates subordinates, job tasks, and time allotments.

• Oversees/monitors function and activities of subordinate staff.

• Evaluate staff performance and institutes appropriate action discipline/training.

• Monitor’s infection control compliance.

• Investigates/documents accidents/incidents.

• Other duties as assigned.

LVN Requirements:

• Current, valid licensure as a LVN required

• Experience in long-term healthcare preferred

• Management/Supervisory experience required

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills needed

• Strong written and verbal skills required
