Job summary

Clinica Sierra Vista in Arvin, CA is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for our CHC team. The LVN provides patient care under supervision, performs procedures, administers medications, and supports clinic operations.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited LVN program and a current California LVN license; IV certification and BLS are preferred. The role may require occasional travel to satellite facilities.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Vocational Nursing.
• Current California Vocational Nurse license required.
• Current I.V. certification preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support card through the American Heart Association required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Adherence to employee health/immunization requirements or valid exemption.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care functions as prescribed by provider following established protocols, policies, and procedures.
• Assist medical personnel with procedures and exams.
• Assess and monitor patients’ conditions and notify provider as needed.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by provider order.
• Initiate and maintain IV solutions if state certified.
• Maintain equipment and supplies; arrange repairs as needed.
• Apply aseptic technique and infection control.
• Monitor patient flow and supervise staff as needed.
• Provide medical information and education to patients.
• Document patient information and maintain confidentiality.
